My appreciation of art started young, sketching and playing with colour. But my interest in painting and sketching didn't truly start until much later in life.
In 2016, I decided to see whether I could attend an art class on Saturday mornings. The only one available was a watercolour painting class so I signed up and spent the next year learning how paint flows in water. It was eye-opening and thrilling to see how I could create some beautiful pieces.
Since moving to rural NSW, I try and attend workshops when I can, but they are few and far between. I hope to see more of these workshops become available but for now, travelling to the major cities is the only way to get to experience the artist's workshops.
I hope to travel, locally and internationally. I want to watch the light play across buildings and different places around the world and attempt to re-create some of what I see.
